Many of the artisan’s studios are attached to their art galleries and are open to the public at specific times or by appointment. Some also teach in their art studios. You get a special insight for the artist and their work when you can see first hand where and under what conditions they paint or sketch in their gallery. Selecting with and buying art direct from the artist in their studio/ art gallery is a thrill and rarity you can experience in the Hawkesbury. Check for open weekends and times on our website or call to make an appointment.
The Hawkesbury has delightful range of art galleries, many of which are set in unique rural surrounds with purpose built or historic buildings. Our largest is the new Regional Art Gallery at the Deerubbin Centre in Windsor. The rural setting art galleries extend from Vineyard in the south, to St Albans in the north and to Bowen Mountain in the west. Some art galleries combine their offerings with a café and/or offer refreshments to visitors and group tours. Check for art gallery updates of opening days and times on our website or call to make an appointment.
There are several trail members with shop fronts. These include wrought iron, collectables, pottery, scrapbooking, patchwork, porcelain doll making and a splendid restaurant in Kurrajong Village. Trading days and hours are indicated on their respective pages on this website or visit their indiviudal websites for more details.
